What types of sessions do you book?
Our portrait sessions are ideal for families and generations, high school seniors, senior citizens, engagement, maternity and newborn, lifestyle, as well as contemporary portraiture with fashion/editorial style for all the reasons you may want to be photographed, including no reason at all.
What should I expect in my session?
What to expect will vary based on what the occasion is. However, be rest assured that we will work with you throughout the entire portrait experience to produce custom portraits for you. You will be with a passionate, patient, enthusiastic, and detailed photographer excited to invest time and resources to create wonderful heirloom items, customized for you and your family. Our complimentary pre-session consultation will guide you through our process and give you the chance to see our work as well as develop a visual plan that is ideal for you. All your images will be professionally enhanced to suit you. We will, often, send you a prep guide for your type of session, help with selecting the ideal wardrobe for your custom portraits and even show you mock-ups of your images hanging on your wall before they are produced.
What type of prints and products do you offer?
Your art pieces are commissioned with you, your family and home in mind. We want to fill your spaces with love. We have helped many families to create wall portraits that hang in their living and work spaces and we are able to provide you with different ways to display your portraits. All keepsake items are handcrafted with love, made from archival materials that ensure your portraits last a lifetime. We provide you with an array of prints and custom-made products that are top-of-the-line in the industry and available to only professional photographers. You are welcome to see some of our products during your style consultation.
When can I expect to receive my images?
Our special reveal and ordering sessions will be with-in 7-10 business days, after each portrait session. All art pieces and heirloom albums are produced within 6 weeks of ordering. You will be provided with an estimated delivery/pick-up date at your ordering appointment. If you\'d rather have us install your art pieces for you, a date will be scheduled at your convenience.
How do I schedule a session?
Please feel free to email or call Caroline directly – we love to chat with you and get to know you. You can also book your session, by clicking here, and someone will reach out to you within 24hours. We will schedule a complimentary pre-session consultation with you to meet you and your family, get to know you more and gain more understanding of what we can achieve for you. You will be able to see, feel and touch samples of custom portraits that we have previously produced in anticipation for what you might love. Then, we will schedule your session at the earliest possible convenience.
What can I expect to invest?
Your initial investment is $300, which includes your creative session fee and professional hairstyling and makeup artistry. You choose your investment in the production of your commissioned art pieces. During your style consultation, you can benefit from the 10% advance purchase credit when you make an investment towards your art pieces. For example, if you\'d like us to create a wall portrait to fill a specific space in your living space, you will provide. corresponding value in the amount of the wall portrait during your style consultation. This is your session retainer. By doing so, you will earn 10% of that value in additional prints and art pieces. Payments for additional orders are made during your ordering appointment.
What if I don\'t know what art pieces I need?
Our clients trust us to provide the quality of service and art pieces we have been known for. We delve into details about what your portrait needs are and the art pieces we would be creating for you. This informs the creative direction of your portrait session. However, if you have not experienced our portrait creation process before and you\'d like to wait to see your portraits before deciding which art pieces to order, you are welcome to choose your portraits and art pieces at your ordering appointment. We want to make sure you are getting what you want and investing in the portraits you absolutely love.
Can I re-schedule my session?
We understand that the best laid plans of mice do go awry. You may re-schedule your session for personal reasons not more than 2 times within a 90-day period with more than 24-hour notice. After two reschedules, a new session fee will apply. Decisions on weather-related rescheduling are often made 2 hours before the session time – and on case-by-case basis only. Re-scheduling within 24 hours of your appointment will be a $75 charge.. If weather continues to be a persistent issue more than twice, we will revert to a studio session.
Do you offer digital files?
We often provide complimentary social media files to share with friends and family with every each portrait you order. High resolution digital files may also be ordered on a sliding scale based on your investment.
Is there a perfect time of day for my session?
Yes! If you are having an outdoors session. we usually love to photograph during the magic hour. It\'s the 1-2 hours before the sun sets or rises. It casts this dreamy glow on everything and will illuminate you very nicely. It also helps to eliminate harsh shadows that the sun casts down when it\'s higher in the sky as well. All indoors session have a more flexible time frame.
Will you travel?
Abso-always-lutely, yes, we will travel! We usually travel within Metro Vancouver and Fraser Valley. However, we are happy to travel beyond that for an additional fee.
How does booking a newborn session work?
Because those precious gifts sometimes like to give surprises in the nicest ways, we will reserve a tentative date for you around your scheduled due date and will expect a call or email from your designated contact person as soon as baby arrives. Newborn sessions are done, ideally, within the first 14 days after birth. They are still very snuggly and sleepy; and we can better pose them in the cutest possible ways. We do love to celebrate motherhood and new birth, as a result, you get a complimentary newborn session when you book a maternity session with us and vice versa.
You took so many pictures! Do I get all of them? Do I get the RAW files?
You will hear the camera clicking A LOT! Capturing perfect moments require that, you just never know when it will come along. We patiently have our editor rate each images on our excellence scale and choose the “bestest” ones. After that, we carefully retouch and enhance them before delivering to you. We ensure you only receive the best from us. You get to pick your favourites from your session. We do not provide raw files or un-retouched files to clients.
Do you give refunds?
Refunds are provided for your investment in art pieces prior to the portrait session appointment, and within 30 days of payment (less 10% administrative charges). Due to the custom nature of your art pieces, once the session has taken place, all sales are final and cannot be changed or refunded. Session fee is a non-refundable fee that goes towards your session. It can be applied to other sessions within 180 days.
